A close-up conversation with two musical stars –
Kyu-Young Kim and his prize-winning pianist son Orion!
Don’t miss hearing Kyu-Young Kim – Artistic Director as well as Principal Violin of the SPCO – share a generous hour of personal observations, as he talks about his winding path to his dual role at the SPCO and how his life in music overlaps with family life. Co-starring with Kyu is his teenage son Orion, who is as dynamic on the soccer field (with St. Paul’s oldest, most decorated club, the Blackhawks) as he is at the keyboard, winning awards and performance opportunities near and far.
A special treat – subscribers will receive a link to watch a video Kyu and Orion are preparing just for the Friends. Their repertoire: two gorgeous movements of Beethoven’s Sonata No. 5, the Spring Sonata. So beautiful, and so personal!
